Birthways Labor Support Comprehensive Package

Our package of labor support includes no-commitment interviews with potential doulas and once you have chosen your doula you’ll have:

• 2-3 prenatal visits or more as needed*
• Unlimited phone support
• Support at home in early labor
• Continuous care throughout the birth and into the immediate postpartum time
• Support for the first breastfeed
• One followup postpartum visit

Options for Your Labor Support Package

For our labor support and postpartum care clients who would like some additional preparation for childbirth or who have selected a doula provider who is also a massage therapist, we offer the following options:

Greater Comfort . . . Massage Services

You can enjoy an in-home massage to either begin your visit with your doula or to conclude it.   Get sent off to a restful evening with therapeutic massage, while your doula/massage therapist gains insight into your physical comfort needs in preparation for birth.  Partners also can take advantage of our services and the rate discounts involved with pairing massage with regular care.

Deeper Confidence . . . Private Education

Your doula will supplement your preparation process through the course of our standard prenatal visiting time by taking an inventory of what you’ve learned, answering questions, and offering recommendations.   If you need a fuller curriculum, your needs are best met by attending our group childbirth classes, refresher childbirth classes, or by scheduling private education.  Some of our senior level doulas are also experienced childbirth educators and can create a care plan for you that includes more in-depth education.  If you are choosing an apprentice doula but would like to have an additional prenatal visit with a senior doula/educator, this can be a nice option.
