You can come to us with a range of questions, or one big one. Our support is evidence-based and non-medical and as professional advocates we will help you improve your communication with your health care team, and direct you to appropriate referrals. Preparing for Breastfeeding

Our lactation team is happy to provide you with the resources and information you need to establish a satisfying and effective breastfeeding relationship with your baby(ies). We believe that mothers learn from their babies, and babies learn from their mothers in a wonderful unfolding in the first days and weeks. As lactation specialists, we support the process. 

Newborn Care Classes

You’re not just preparing for the day of labor, you’re preparing for what lies ahead!  We are prepared to build a program around your unique needs and offer private education or consultation for many needs. 

Our private educators can prepare a newborn class to meet your needs and to fit into your schedule. We can tailor a customized class to meet the needs of families:

Your Birthways Labor Support Doula

Brings experience and wisdom.  Because she works closely in a group and learns from the experiences of others, even our apprentices bring the collective wisdom of caring for thousands of families.  Our senior providers possess additional licensure or certification as massage therapists, midwives, and other related professions and are trained in the clinical side of maternity care.  Birthways providers with this exceptional background understand the management decisions that your health care team is thinking through,
